With the establishment of the HOME ASSISTANCE AND CARE service in the municipalities of Dolen, Krivogashtan, and Prilep, elderly, frail individuals and people with disabilities are provided the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits offered by the HOME ASSISTANCE AND CARE service.
The primary goal of the HOME ASSISTANCE AND CARE service is to provide quality, professional, and accessible assistance and support from trained caregivers, enabling users to regain, acquire, or maintain the ability to care for themselves, so they can continue living in their own home and lead an independent life in the community.
With the introduction of the service – HOME ASSISTANCE AND CARE, assistance is provided for performing basic and instrumental activities, which include help with washing, dressing, feeding, movement, feeding, medical therapy as basic activities, and help with cleaning and organizing the home, shopping for the home, etc. as instrumental activities of daily life up to 80 hours per month, for individuals with reduced functional capacity who cannot care for themselves, in order to enable the user for self-assistance, that is, to regain, acquire, or maintain the ability to care for themselves, so they can continue living in their own home and lead an independent life in the community.
The HOME ASSISTANCE AND CARE service is available for individuals with the most severe disabilities, namely combined disabilities at the highest level, totally blind individuals, elderly people aged 65 and over, and other individuals with reduced functional capacity who cannot care for themselves.
The service is provided by 58 trained and certified caregivers and/or nurses, who offer support to users for healthy and dignified aging in their homes.
They should contact their family doctor, from whom they will need to pick up a completed form, Index Kats.
They should submit a request to the Prilep Social Work Center (the request is available at the Social Work Center's offices), along with the complete medical documentation.
If the complete documentation is in order, potential users will be notified about the support activities available through the Home Assistance and Care Service.
