The establishment of the Daycare Center for Active Aging of Elderly Persons represents a significant social service that contributes to improving the quality of life for older individuals in the community. Given the increasing number of people over 65 and the limited institutional capacities for their care, the development of community-based services becomes increasingly important to ensure dignified and active aging. After obtaining the license, this service will be available to 48 users – elderly persons living in the territory of the three municipalities: Prilep, Krivogashtani, and Dolneni.

The daycare center will provide a space where elderly persons can participate in various social, educational, and recreational activities, receive psychosocial support, as well as establish and maintain social contacts. In this way, social isolation, loneliness, and the risk of deterioration of the health and psychological condition of the elderly are reduced.

Additionally, this center contributes to promoting the concept of active aging, encouraging older individuals to remain active, involved, and useful members of the community. At the same time, the service provides support for families caring for their elderly members, facilitating daily functioning and improving social cohesion in the local community.
